Me, Myself and Y, 2022 is a project created during Joshua's university degree. It deeply reveals the artist's hidden queer identity and issues of self-expression and confidence. As a closeted person, the series conveys his struggles with coming to terms with being gay. Each portrait intends to present his wild fantasies of transforming into diverse and obscene-like personas, driven heavily by his intrusive thoughts and inspirations.

‘Me, Myself and Y’ explores a deep and personal struggle that I have experienced in my adult life recently. The series reflects how I view my own sexuality, gender and identity at the moment. The body of work aims to show a message of celebrating and embracing all your insecurities and uncertainties, because we should love and be proud of who we are. Each portrait is a culmination of the relationship between my feelings and sexuality. They work as a series to tell the wild story of my everyday life through the many spontaneous thoughts and emotions that have been created in my head.
